A Piece of Sacred Heart
This bottle holds fragments from the remains of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Creole, LA — modern church built in 1956 and felled 2025 — a cherished coastal church that stood for nearly 70 years as a beacon of faith, family, and community. Hurricane after hurricane wore down both the building and the town that called it home.
In 2025, the church was finally torn down, its walls silent but not forgotten. Inside this bottle are tiny relics of what once was: bits of brick facade, granite from the altar, wood fragments, and pieces of plastic light fixtures that once glowed above gatherings of prayer, joy, and sorrow.
Each jar is sealed with care — a physical remembrance of a place that lives on in the spirit of all who loved it.
Limited Edition • Made by hand with reverence
Each jar is 2 inches tall and comes with a numbered tag attached and an accompanying description card with sketch of the original church from 1956.
